The Regional Plastic Surgery and Burns Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham provides educational events for surgeons and related professionals with an interest in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.

Whether you are just starting out in your career or wish to build on your pre-existing knowledge; we run a series of relevant courses here in the centre of the United Kingdom.

Sentinel lymph node biopsy course

There have been many requests for us to run our sentinel lymph node biopsy course again; so, we are happy to announce that there will a one day course on 24 October 2019.
The course is aimed at clinicians working in skin oncology, trainees studying for the intercollegiate examinations and will be useful to those wishing to establish a service.

  • The course will provide background theory and give you the opportunity to observe live surgical demonstrations as well as getting hands-on experience with the relevant equipment
  • We look forward to meeting you at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Lipomodelling course

We are pleased to announce that we will be running a lipomodelling study day on 4 October.

  • Our in-house faculty will provide instruction on the use of fat transfer in breast surgery.
  • Mr Fazel Fatah, past president of the BAAPS, will teach on fat transfer in facial cosmetic surgery.
  • We hope you will join us for what promises to be an informative and interesting day.

Unfortunately, NPRAS 2018 will not be going ahead. Thank you to those trainees that submitted abstracts and registered for the meeting. Registration fees will be reimbursed, for any questions please use the contact page.
